From the Airport to Downtown Hotels
The Lester B. Pearson International Airport is located 27 km (16 miles) of downtown Toronto. There are many ways to travel from and to the airport.
Shuttle Service – The Airport Express service, which runs from 4:55 a.m. to 12:55 a.m., departs every 20 or 30 minutes via Highway Coach to major centrally-located hotels such as the Fairmont Royal York. The Airport Express service from Terminal 1 to downtown Toronto departs from the Arrivals Level at Terminal 1, Post B3. Approximate travel time is 1 hour to 1.5 hours pending traffic and weather. The one-way fare is CAD 16.95 and the roundtrip fee is CAD 29.25.

- Terminal 1 - Arrivals Level (Outside Domestic Baggage Claim Area), bus departs from Posts B and E.

Taxis – Taxis are readily available outside the terminal. The approximate fare to downtown Toronto, under normal conditions, is CAD 40.00 (inclusive of taxes and tip).
Downtown Public Transportation
Toronto Transit Commission – The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is the quick, convenient and safe way to get around Toronto. The subway system is linked with buses and streetcars to get you around Toronto on one fare, provided it’s a one-way trip with no stopovers. On weekdays and Saturdays, subway trains run every few minutes from about 6:00 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. On Sundays, they run from about 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Taxis – There are a number of different taxi companies in Toronto. Fares are standard, metered and non-negotiable. If your service was acceptable, a 10-15% tip is customary.
